Swiss watch exports to Hong Kong plunged by about 30 percent, and are now behind the exports to Mainland China. Due to the protests, rich people from the Mainland prefer to buy timepieces at home and tourist streams into Hong Kong’s watch shops dropped to about a tenth of former levels.
