Switzerland tops Global Talent Competitiveness Index

For six consecutive years, Switzerland tops the Global Talent Competitiveness Index. The country is followed by Singapore, the United States, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands. On the bottom of the list are countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa, which see an erosion of their talent base. The report also shows that talents are mostly drawn to small economies with high incomes and the United States. The best performing city is Washington DC. Zurich, the best Swiss performer, is on the 5th place.

Talent performance is seen as a critical factor to growth and prosperity; thus it’s an important concern for firms, nations and cities. This year’s report had a special focus on entrepreneurial talent, how it is being encouraged, nurtured and developed throughout the world and how this affects the relative competitiveness of different economies.
