Swiss brewery Doppelleu considers expansion into China

Doppelleu is new brewery from the Swiss city of Winterthur, which quickly conquered the local market with its famous and a little controversial Chopfab beer. The Chopfab beer cans are black and with a white logo lettering, unfortunately some people found they look like ISIS flags. In addition, “Chopfab” means head off in Swiss German (but of course, this only relates to downing the beer).

The brewery now considers moving into foreign markets. Recently, they acquired the brand Boxer, this brand already exported into China in the past and still has connections there. The Chinese market has a lot of potential for Swiss brands, but it is still unclear whether Swissness is also a good sales argument for a beer.
