In June 2018, China will implement a new policy to streamline foreign business registration. The new policy will cut many steps in the complicated registration process and it will be possible to register a company by only submitting one form at one office (in the past, many forms had to be sent to different government offices).
The Shanghai Free Trade Zone already has similar policies in place at certain locations. What businesses need to consider is that some local governments may need more time to implement this policy properly, it won’t be available immediately.
