In a speech this week, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that the Blockchain technology has breakthrough applications.
He said: “A new generation of technology represented by artificial intelligence, quantum information, mobile communications, internet of things and Blockchain is accelerating breakthrough applications.”
Bitcoin has been halted in China, but the Blockchain development is still very much alive there and several start-ups exist, which also collaborate with the Chinese government.
In addition, Blockchain has been mentioned twice in the Chinese State Council’s 13th five-year economic plan.
