China establishes more free trade zones

China announced new free trade zones (FTZ) in Beijing, Hunan, and Anhui and will expand the existing one in Zhejiang, bringing the FTZ total to 21. Each of those zones will build upon the strengths and characteristics of its area:

The Beijing FTZ will focus on service industry, technological innovation, logistics, and digital trade.

The Anhui FTZ will focus on advanced manufacturing (integrated circuits, AI, fintech, international logistics, financial services, and new energy).

The Zhejiang FTZ will focus on international trade, technological innovation.

The Hunan FTZ will focus on advanced manufacturing (biomedicine, agritech), logistics, e-commerce, and financial services.
